La storia del gianduiotto

Il celebre gianduiotto è un cioccolatino incartato a forma  di barchetta rovesciata ( la forma del cappello di Gianduja) ottenuto impastando cacao, zucchero e le famose nocciole tonde gentili del Piemonte

Il cioccolato Gianduia nacque casualmente all’inizio dell’Ottocento, come espediente fortuito fatto dai cioccolatieri torinesi per sopperire alla difficoltà di rifornirsi del cacao in seguito al blocco continentale imposto da Napoleone.
I cioccolatieri iniziarono aggiungendo in misura variabile nocciole tostate all’impasto di cacao e zucchero, ma il cioccolatino prodotto con pasta “Gianduia” nacque ufficialmente solo nel 1865.

Il gianduiotto è stato il primo cioccolatino incartato singolarmente.

Oggi esistono diverse ricette con percentuali diverse di pasta di nocciole e di cacao, con l’aggiunta di latte e di massa di cacao.
